Free tickets to the Chicago Wolves

Central students have a chance to earn a FREE ticket to a Chicago Wolves game.

This week papers went home with students with information on the Wolves’ “Read to Succeed” and “Howl For Your Health” programs.

Check out the flyers and if you are interested,  simply have your child participate in one or both of the programs.

They will need to set a reading goal or physical challenge goal and then fill out the chart.

All completed charts should be returned to the front office.   Once I receive the completed charts, I will send your student home with a certificate that can be redeemed for a free ticket to specific games at Allstate Arena.  Those game dates are listed on the flyer that was sent home.  Every student can earn ONE FREE TICKET for each program.  You can also order extra tickets for $20.75/each plus a $5 service fee per order.

We hope this a fun incentive for students to read and exercise!

If you did not receive the papers that were sent home,  check with Mrs. Guill. There are extras in the front office.

Contact me if you have any questions,  or (312) 399-9505

Grandparents will gather in the gym and then go to their student’s classroom.  Please be sure they have the teacher’s name when they arrive, but if not, we will have volunteers to help them get where they need to go.   A bell will ring half-way through, so that grandparents can switch classrooms to meet other grandkids, if needed.

We will be showing “Honey, I shrunk the kids”.  It’s free for everyone (Not just Central students and families)!!  Bring your grandparents too! Don’t forget a blanket or chairs.

There will be hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, candy, water and lemonade for sale at the concession stand. You are welcome to bring your own food as well.

We ask that everyone please clean up after yourself once the movie is over.  We want to leave the field the way we found it and be able to use it again for future events.

Central School Supply Drive

I hope everyone is having a great Summer!

Just a reminder of the Annual Supply Drive is coming up in just a few short weeks!

The Supply Drive is something new this year.  It replaces the Backpack Drive.

We are collecting $$ to stuff boxes filled with classroom supplies most needed by the teachers at Central School.

Every year, teachers use their own their money to buy things for their classrooms and students.  We hope this Supply Drive will help the teachers get those items without dipping into their own pockets.

Your donation will go directly toward these supplies.

CLICK HERE FOR THE DONATION FORM ===>> ClassroomSupplyDrive form.2015

You can donate whatever amount you wish.

Please turn in $ and form by FRIDAY, August 14th

Then we invite you and your child to join us at Central during the “Back to School Meet-and-Greet”

hosted by Mrs. Krueger on Thursday, August 20th from 1:30-3:00pm to help assemble the classroom supply boxes.

* We will assemble for you if you cannot make it.

Show your appreciation for Central’s teachers and staff

teacher appreciation week

This week is Teacher Appreciation Week and we are showing our appreciation of the teachers at Central School by providing food and treats throughout the week.

You can drop off the items in the morning in the front office.  You can include a note from your family if you’d like.

Monday – K & 1st grade
Tuesday – 2nd & 3rd grades
Wednesday – 4th grade
Thursday – 5th grade
Friday – Lunch from the PTO

Please feel free to have your children write notes to their teachers or do whatever they’d like to show their appreciation.
