Grandparents’ Day and Outdoor Movie Night are this FRIDAY

Don’t forget we’ve got 2 BIG events happening at Central School this FRIDAY!

Grandparents’ Day –  10:30 am – 12:10 pm and (1:30 – 2:30 pm for afternoon Kindergarten)

Grandparents will gather in the gym and then go to their student’s classroom.  Please be sure they have the teacher’s name when they arrive, but if not, we will have volunteers to help them get where they need to go.   A bell will ring half-way through, so that grandparents can switch classrooms to meet other grandkids, if needed.

Central School Supply Drive

I hope everyone is having a great Summer!

The Supply Drive is something new this year.  It replaces the Backpack Drive.

We are collecting $$ to stuff boxes filled with classroom supplies most needed by the teachers at Central School.

Every year, teachers use their own their money to buy things for their classrooms and students.  We hope this Supply Drive will help the teachers get those items without dipping into their own pockets.

Your donation will go directly toward these supplies.

You can donate whatever amount you wish.

Please turn in $ and form by FRIDAY, August 14th

Then we invite you and your child to join us at Central during the “Back to School Meet-and-Greet”

Kindergartners give a big thanks to our community helpers

We wanted to share with you a very special project completed by Mrs. Schwartz’s Kindergarten class.

A few months ago the youngest students at Central School took a day to say thanks to those in our community who make it their job too serve and protect all of us.

So many parents jumped in to lend a helping hand for this big day.   It was a huge success and really touched those who were honored.    The Nelsons then took the time to make an excellent video of the entire project.  Take a look for yourself and see just one of the many reasons why Central is so awesome!

Thank you to Mrs. Schwartz and parents for helping these kids learn such an important lesson of appreciation!
